How To Be Romantic - 3 Tips For Expressing Your Love
Don’t think you are able to be romantic? Think again. If you’ve taken pleasure from your partner’s reaction after pleasing her in some way, then you my friend are a romantic. If you’ve ever enjoyed a love ballad or song playing on the radio, you are a romantic.
So if most guys can answer yes to the above questions, why do women complain that guys aren’t romantic enough? The answer is that although they have these feelings, they either don’t know how or feel awkward about expressing them. You have to remember that your partner isn’t asking you to express these feelings to the world at large, just to her.
To be a romantic, you must do things that will give her a little happiness. Your effort at being romantic should have spontaneity and surprise. But not always.
You and your partner can also plan a romantic get away together. Here’s a few ideas on being more romantic:
1.) Make an effort to escape the routine that is running your life now. The start of a relationship is normally associated with romance because so much change is happening to both of you. Your relationship at the beginning was a radical change from your usual routine. Everything seemed to be new, exciting, and so was romantic.
Those exciting times of newness can be reawakened by sharing new experiences together again. Avoid going out on the same old tired dating routine. Check your local newspaper for activities and events that’s completely new to you and try them. Be sure that you’re always trying out a new thing or activity.
2.) Show love in lots and lots of little ways. You might try sneaking up behind and doing some hugging and kissing. Or writing some love notes and leaving them where they’ll be discovered. Put some of the notes in a book that she’s currently reading or in a favorite magazine of hers.
Is she going on a trip without you (a visit to her parents or perhaps a business trip)? Try hiding a gift wrapped box of chocolates with a note at the bottom of her luggage case where she’ll find it later on her trip.
3.) Give her a good surprise with something truly exceptional. Send her a romance novel with you and her as the main characters of the plot. You can try doing it the hard way and write the whole thing yourself.
An easier way might be to download a romance novel that isn’t copyrighted (is in the public domain). You can do an automated search and replace operation with a text editor that substitutes the names of the two main characters (lovers) with your names. You can then print it out with a printer and bind it in a hard cover.
